FAQ

What should I wear?

Your outfit choices are completely up to you! Things to ask yourself to help select outfits.
What season are we shooting in? Example: for springtime shoots against greenery and flowers, light neutrals or bright colors will pop instead of black or dark outfits.
Do you want everyone in your photo to match or be coordinated? We can discuss ideas you have and I can help guide you to what will photograph the best.

What should I have ready?

If we are shooting in your home, tidy up the spaces you would like to photograph in, open up the shades, and turn off the lamps! Nothing needs to be perfect, but de-cluttering will help make the space feel photography ready!
If we are shooting on location, you can bring a blanket to sit on, a change of shoes if we'll be walking, makeup for touch-ups, etc. If there are any special props you would like in your photos, please bring them with you.

How long will it take to get my photos?

Please allow up to two weeks to receive your online gallery. Some photos may be done sooner but I will email you a link to your photos as soon as they are ready with instructions on how to download them.

How should I prepare for my newborn shoot?

1. Have the house warmer than usual. This will help keep baby happy and warm!
2. Tidy up the spaces you'd like to photograph in (nursery, family room, bedroom). Nothing needs to be perfect!!! Just declutter a little and put away things that you don't want in a photo.
3. Open up the shares and turn off the lamps! We want as much natural light as possible.
4. Think about what you'd like baby to wear. The fewer changes for baby, the better! Have them dressed in the first outfit when I arrive. The simpler the better.
5. Outfits for parents - neutral colors will look best on you. Remember, you will be the baby's backdrop in the majority of the photos, so avoiding loud patterns or colors is a good idea, so we don't take away from the baby. One outfit for parents is great!
6. You may want to time a feeding right before I arrive, to make baby sleepy and happy. However, you may need to feed them during the session and that is TOTALLY fine! I am flexible and patient and can do whatever baby needs.
7. Pets are welcome in our shoot! Prepare them with treats to get them to sit and stay where we want them to :)
